Antigravity/UFO Propulsion
Antigravity is something that has been dreamed of for centuries. The ability to free oneself from the gravitational field surrounding our planet; to be able to move freely in all directions is an ability that would outshine most others.
Antigravity would allow us to propel ships through space at extreme speeds and would make interstellar travel possible. This type of propulsion system would also allow us to protect Earth from incoming asteroids by matching their velocity and gently nudging them out of Earth’s path.
The possibility of developing artificial gravitational fields is presented in Logical Universe. These artificial gravitational fields will allow us to do all that is imagined with so-called antigravity but they will not be antigravity. These fields will consist of the same field that causes gravity rather than something that shields against or repels gravity.
Any propulsion system that an advanced civilization uses for interstellar travel will most likely consist of a field generator that allows them to manipulate the same field that causes gravity.
