Perhaps the single most compelling thing is the direct relationship that exists between inertia, gravity, and the propagation of light.
The fact that gravity acts at the exact same speed that light propagates through the universe is evidence of a direct relationship between the two; it is evidence that they are both caused by the same thing. And the inverse similarities of gravity acting inward toward matter, and light propagating outward away from matter add more weight to this conclusion.
If we accept Albert Einstein’s proposition that gravity is caused by the warping of the fabric of the universe in the vicinity of massive objects, it becomes clear that both the propagation of light, and gravity, are caused by the fabric of the universe. In addition, the motion of light is evidence that the fabric of the universe is in motion throughout the universe.
Inertial mass and gravitational mass are equal. This is evidence of a direct relationship between gravity and inertia. By this it is clear that inertia is caused by the same thing that causes gravity; the fabric of the universe. The fact that all matter, regardless of its velocity or spatial location, is subject to inertia, is evidence of the dynamic nature of the fabric of the universe.
With this recognition of the dynamic fabric of the universe, we can begin to see how this single force is responsible for everything, and just how simple the universe really is.
